DAY 20

18 This is what I have observed to be good: that it is appropriate for a person to eat, to drink and to find satisfaction in their toilsome labor under the sun during the few days of life God has given them—for this is their lot. 19 Moreover, when God gives someone wealth and possessions, and the ability to enjoy them, to accept their lot and be happy in their toil—this is a gift of God. 20 They seldom reflect on the days of their life, because God keeps them occupied with gladness of heart.

1. What do you consider wealth in your life?

2. What needs to shift in the way you toil each day to make sure your effort aligns with the desires of God?

3. What change do you think you’ll see in the wealth or the blessings when you choose to be aligned with his desires?

Pray that you start to see the hope in toiling for God during your time under the sun and that you would see his blessings now for doing so. Ask that God would make his blessings clear to you now as you look forward to his ultimate blessings beyond the sun.
